General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Worcester County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The company that performs the restoration work
Worcester Water Damage Restoration is a call line that connects callers with an independent, licensed local water-damage restoration company. It answers calls and online requests for water damage service and passes each one on. It does not extract water, dry buildings, assess damage, test for mold or carry out repairs. The independent local company that attends does that work, and that company alone is accountable for its assessment, its scope, its pricing, its equipment and its workmanship.
No state licence specific to water-damage restoration was found in Massachusetts. Residential reconstruction on existing, owner-occupied homes of one to four units generally falls under Home Improvement Contractor registration with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation; structural work and the building permit require a Construction Supervisor Licence; plumbing is licensed by the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. Those obligations rest on the attending company, not on this website, which holds no registration, licence or certification of any kind and claims none. No mold-contractor or mold-inspector licence was found in this state, and industry certifications are not state licences.
The attending company's registration and licence numbers are given on request by phone, or when it calls ahead of the visit. They are kept off this website to protect that company's private business information. Verify any number you are given against the HIC and Construction Supervisor Licence lookups on mass.gov before reconstruction begins, and put questions about what a policy pays to your own insurer.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in Massachusetts is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
